FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. The turntable on my stretch wrapper does not stop. It just keeps spinning, and the carriage does not go up. How can I fix this?

Remove the turntable and remove excess plastic build-up. Make sure the arm of the limit switch is not bent and that the switch is in good working condition.

2. My stretch wrapper will not reset. What can I do?

Check if the film carriage is on the floor. If it is, disconnect the cable at the front of the carriage that supplies power to the photo-eye. Then, you can manually raise the carriage a couple of feet and reconnect the cable.

Now the unit can be honed, and you can begin wrapping loads.

3. When the turntable on my stretch wrapper goes around, it is very noisy. What might be wrong?

Remove the turntable to inspect the turntable support rollers. If the rollers are cracked or don’t spin freely, replace them.

4. The stretch film keeps ripping/tearing during the wrap cycle. How can I fix this?

Make sure you are using machine-grade stretch film, not hand film. And make sure the tension for load force is set correctly. If the load force is turned up too much, the film will rip/tear.

5. My stretch wrap machine will not run in auto mode. Why is this?

Make sure the photo-eye is seeing the product on the pallet. Check to see that the photo-eye on the carriage has both a green and orange light lit up. (Green for power and orange for signal.)
