Employee Spotlight: Lauri Achterberg

This month’s employee spotlight features Customer Experience Account Manager II, Lauri Achterberg. Lauri has worked at Rocket for 16 years. She contributes great stability and positive energy to her department and the customers that she interacts with. Lauri’s high level of precision, commitment to improvement, and in-depth training services continue to strengthen customer experiences at Rocket.

What is something you are proud to have accomplished at Rocket?

I am most proud of the growing relationship I have managed and strengthened with one of Rocket’s biggest customers. As product lines expand and pricing becomes more maintained, my efforts have allowed for smoother interactions and resulting growth. I am also a part of the new systems testing team where I have assisted with processing improvements, expediting orders, and ensuring efficiency.

What are some current packaging trends you are seeing?

Our customers are seeking automatic ordering processes with rapid turnaround rates. While they continue to limit the inventory on their floors, the need for products shipped today for tomorrow’s use has transformed customer relationships. Additionally, the market’s push to optimize packaging costs and resources has served as a great advantage for Rocket’s engineering and solutions team.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I love planting flowers in the spring and decorating my house for various holidays. Watching the faces of my six grandkids light up in excitement as they notice new décor is the best part. Spending time with my family is very important to me. I especially enjoy traveling and exploring numerous parks across the country. My favorite trip was to the Mighty 5 National Parks in Utah!

Any other fun facts?

I do not like snakes, black licorice, public speaking, or peanut butter. On the other hand, I enjoy walking and maintaining my step count each day as well as dancing. I also collect sports cars, and on weekends I love to take them out for a drive.
