As 2022 wraps up, we want to reflect on the past year and share our team’s accomplishments. From bringing back our annual sales meeting to expanding to a larger warehouse, here are our top achievements of 2022.
After being postponed for the past couple of years due to COVID, the annual Rocket sales meeting was brought back this past May. Held in Wausau, Wisconsin, we enjoyed a day of golf and a reverse trade show to allow our vendors to learn more about our growing team and to educate us on new products and projects.
Over the past year, Rocket Industrial has joined three new organizations. The Green Bay Innovation Group showcases innovative industries that positively influence the community. Through our sustainable business practices, community involvement, and office environments, we are silver certified by the Green Business Bureau. The Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council supports sustainable businesses through programming, education, and resources, driving Wisconsin's sustainability efforts forward.
For the seventh year in a row, Rocket Industrial has been recognized as Great Place to Work Certified! This year, 86% of employees said that Rocket Industrial is a great place to work compared to the nation's average of 57%. Our success comes from each member of our team and our people are what make Rocket Industrial a great place to work.
Within the past year, Rocket exhibited at five different tradeshows. These tradeshows include the Minnesota Association of Meat Processors, Wisconsin Association of Meat Processors, Cheese Expo, Converters Expo, and Decorative Hardwoods Association Conference. We enjoy showcasing our products and services while interacting with attendees.
We expanded our presence in the Fox Cities by opening a new 80,000 square foot warehouse at 3351 Eisenhower Dr, Appleton , Wisconsin. Our former Appleton and Menasha offices have both relocated to this new location. This increased space allows us to stock more commonly purchased products, extend our vendor managed inventory program, and make room for our expanding team.
Dedicated to giving back to our communities, our employees have volunteered a total of 586 hours in 2022. Paid volunteer time off is just one of the many benefits that Rocket Industrial offers. Other notable benefits include professional development, paid sabbatical for milestone anniversaries, and others which can be found on our careers page.
As 2022 comes to an end, we are excited for what's to come in 2023. Contact our packaging experts for help solving any of your packaging challenges.
